Sokoli typeface is a revival of a 1922 poster designed for the first Yugoslav All-Sokol Rally in Ljubljana. It draws inspiration from forms that were historically present in the region, transforming Cyrillic shapes and characters into Latin letter-shapes. It evokes features of nostalgia for Slovene history from the era of Austria-Hungary to Yugoslavia. Including a few funky ligatures.
